Why is PrecisionLender ending support for Internet Explorer 11?
The Internet Explorer (IE) browser is officially being deprecated by Microsoft this year (2022), meaning Microsoft will no longer support it. Microsoft stopped adding features to the last version of IE (version 11) in 2016, and many other applications have already ended IE 11 support. As time goes on, older versions of browsers such as IE gradually lose compatibility with current technology. Microsoft encourages their current IE users to use a browser such as Microsoft Edge, which supports significantly more modern web standards. To continue to provide you with a secure experience while using PrecisionLender, we're following Microsoft's recommendations and moving forward with plans to end support for IE 11.
What other browsers are supported?
We support Microsoft Edge, Firefox 12+, and Chrome version 45+. For more information, refer to the full list of PrecisionLender system requirements.
When is PrecisionLender ending support for IE 11?
We request that users switch to a different browser by May 18, 2022, to ensure they have plenty of time to transition before our complete end of support for IE 11. After May 18, 2022, users will be prompted to switch to a different browser when they log into PrecisionLender. On June 15, 2022, users will no longer be able to access PrecisionLender using IE 11. From that point, they will be required to use one of our supported browsers.
What happens if I don't switch to a new browser by the deadline?
We will continue to attempt to contact clients still using Internet Explorer after the May 18 deadline, and you may notice notifications while using PrecisionLender reminding you of the upcoming end of support for IE. If, on or after June 15, users attempt to log into PrecisionLender using Internet Explorer, they will be redirected to a landing page explaining that we no longer support IE and will not be able to log into PrecisionLender until a different browser is used. Please switch to a supported browser before May 18 to ensure that you have plenty of time before the June 15 cutoff date.
How do I migrate my bookmarks over to a new browser?
You can import your bookmarks from Internet Explorer to Chrome, Firefox, or Edge instead of adding each one manually.
